Hello,
during our build process, we customize RHEL machine on KVM, and during this process also VMware Tools are installed. Then QCOW2 is also converted to OVA and this image is used on both VMware and KVM hypervisors.
Problem is with VMware tools, which work, however report version 0000. This is an issue when doing deployment to vCloud-based environment using tool, that requires higher version of VMware tools (which is actually there, but is badly reported)
I would like to ask, whether there is at least workaround how to fix VMware Tools version reporting, or whether support for proper installation on KVM is planned.
