Linux seems to be a hackle after hackle on a daily basis and it's frustrating me so much.
After going through much trouble on how to get VMware Tools installed, I powered off my guest OS (Debian) and booted it again as according to the instruction, and now am stuck with this error.
The error reads:
Kernel panic - not syncing : VFS : Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
and etc...
I made sure that the system was booting on the appropriate Debian CD. I tried to boot it in a "restore" mode but the keyboard wouldn't work. While it was booting, which takes literally like 3 sec so I have to be super quick, I tried pressing all of the F2, F12 command buttons and etc to get any other response but all was futile. I get stuck with this message that doesn't allow me to do anything. No terminal openings, nada!
Any helps please? Thanks.
PS. I attached the screen captured image of what I see when I boot my Debian. My host OS is Windows 7 by the way.
Sincerely, Alicia.
