Missing VM after removing from host inventory and a restart - ESX 4.1

Hi All

I have an issue where I cannot locate a VM that was in the inventory of one of my hosts.  I previously had a problem where I had to remove the VM's from one of my host inventory and restart the Host, the why's and the werefore's are not important at the moment.

I re-attached the servers by browsing through the datastores and re-added them to the Hosts Inventories, the problem is that there is one VM that is missing.  I have searched the hosts datastores using vSphere and cannot find any files that belong to that VM.

I currently only have remote access to the tin but can get someone on site to enable SSH if need be.  I presume that I would need SSH to putty onto the host and look at the file structure directly?  If so I'm not sure what commands I would need to use to search for the missing file.

What I don't understand is why I can't see the files/folders in the datastores...

If push comes to shove I will just re-create the server as it's just an ADC so no user data etc.

Thank you for any help you may push my way.

Andrew
